Wikimedia NYC Helps Put Queens History on the Map
Library Journal highlights a packed Queens Name Explorer Edit-a-Thon co-hosted by Wikimedia NYC and Queens Public Library, where participants learned to edit Wikipedia and Wikidata while documenting the people and places that shape Queens. The event generated 29 new submissions and 974 new Wikidata items.
